- Wallenstein Garden – baroque garden with various points of interest, free entry (10 minutes from the faculty on foot)
- Botanická zahrada Albertov – botanical garden run by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, free entry (15 minutes from the faculty by tram 18)
- Břevnov – baroque monastery and a spectacular church, extensive garden open to the public, great locally made beer, perfect location for an afternoon out (accessible by tram 22)
Walks:
- Prague Castle Gardens – stunning complex of several ornamental gardens on the slope below the Prague castle
- Cibulky – extensive woodland park with various nineteenth-century follies
- Obora Hvězda – former royal hunting ground with a renaissance pavilion, a café, and a museum
- Stromovka – extensive park with various points of interest and restaurants
- Vyšehrad – famous hill with a spectacular church, great views of Prague and the river, statues, a historical cemetery
Art:
- Villa Bílek – villa designed by one of the most important representatives of Czech symbolist art, now houses an exhibition of his works (5 minutes from the faculty by tram 2 or 18)
- Kinský Palace – branch of the Czech National Gallery, houses various temporary exhibitions (5 minutes from the faculty on foot)
- Fair Trade Palace (Veletržní palác) – branch of the Czech National Gallery, houses the exhibition of 19th, 20th, and 21th century art, a functionalist building with a good café (10 minutes from the faculty by tram 17)
- Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia (Anežský klášter) – branch of the Czech National Gallery, houses the exhibition of Czech and European medieval art (15 minutes from the faculty on foot)
One-day trips outside Prague:
- Veltrusy Mansion – baroque mansion with one of the most beautiful romantic parks in the Czech Republic, 45 minutes by train or by bus, frequent connections
- Svatý Jan pod Skalou (St John under the Cliff) – one of the most picturesque places in Central Bohemia, an interesting church, a hermitage and a viewpoint on a hill, rare species of plants and butterflies, 40 minutes by bus from the metro station Zličín, regular service
