About

The Summer School of Romanticism was founded by Prof. David Duff (Queen Mary University of London) and Prof. Martin Procházka (Charles University) as a continuation of long-term cooperation in the field of Romantic studies. It is affiliated to the London-Paris Romanticism Seminar and draws on the expertise of Romantic scholars from leading universities across Europe. The aim of the Summer School is to bring together graduate students and staff from different countries and to offer intensive instruction on current developments in Romantic studies. Graduate students are also given an opportunity to present their own work-in-progress. The Summer School is intended as on-going venture. The first instalment took place in Prague on 27 June – 1 July 2022 and the second one is scheduled for 19 – 23 June 2023.
