Nicholas Halmi is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Oxford and Margaret Candfield Fellow of University College, Oxford. He is also an Associated Academic of Oxford’s History of Art Department, and has held visiting professorships at Stanford University and the Università di Bologna. Among his books are The Genealogy of the Romantic Symbol (2007) and the Norton Critical Edition of Wordsworth’s Poetry and Prose (2013).
