Laurent Folliot is a former alumnus of the École Normale Supérieure (Paris) and Pembroke College (Cambridge University), Laurent Folliot is currently Associate Professor at Sorbonne Université. His PhD. dissertation bore on the nature poetry of Wordsworth and Coleridge; he has written a monograph on Lyrical Ballads (2012) and co-authored another on Keats’s poetry (with Caroline Bertonèche, 2022), as well as published various articles on Romanticism and 18th– and 19th-century literature more generally (De Quincey, Hazlitt, Austen, Dickens, William Gilbert, Thomas Gray). He has worked on a number of translations (from William Temple to Thoreau), including a French verse rendition of Thomson’s Seasons (Classiques Garnier, 2018). He is also the editorial secretary of the Paris-based Études anglaises review.
